Mineral Meeting 2004
Eidsfoss July 16th. – 18th.
A heartily
welcome to the 6th. MINERAL MEETING at EIDSFOSS,
Our goal is clear; to make this the best and the
biggest meeting ever!
Invitations
and posters will be spread out early and we hope to see more worldwide
collectors and dealers this time.
BUT; we will do everything to continue the very special
atmosphere we have had earlier and still want to have. We hope never to become
a traditional show where money rules!
Happy collectors and dealers in beautiful surroundings are what we want
to see. Last year there were about 45
collectors and dealers and 800 visitors at Eidsfoss. This year we hope to see
more.
Friday,
July 16th:
The
Mineralmeeting opens at 15.00 (3 PM) for both dealers and visitors. We hope to
see loads of nice minerals at the outdoor and indoor tables.
This year we will also have a social event at the beach at 20.00, where
the log fire will burn and the talk can bring new friends together.
Saturday,
July 17th. is the big SHOW DAY:
The Mineral
meeting opens at 10.00 and closes at 18.00 .
Collectors
and dealers with minerals, jewellery, fossils and other interesting items for
the collector and the visitor, are most welcome.
We can
offer something for the entire family; swimming, fishing, activities for
children and hopefully good weather!
We also
hope this year to have nice exhibitions covering different fields of our hobby.
At 20.00 we will have the
big annual ”Get together”-party with delicious
food, entertainment and the
traditional auction!
Sunday, July 18th. Is the day for TRIPS and the
OUTDOOR SHOW.
At 12.00 more trips will be arranged for collectors to nearby collecting-fields. From 11.00 to 15.00 an outdoor show will take place.
We also hope to see many collectors and dealers showing their minerals
and goods at the outdoor tables. We will stress that NO dealers or collectors
can have their indoor tables on Sunday, also those that had their indoor tables
on Friday and Saturday. Also that the tables you use has to be brought back to
the storage room by yourself.
Information:
Thanks to "Gamle Eidsfos" society and the community of Hof, we are also this year allowed to have our free camp for tents and caravans at the same place as earlier. The old Ironwork with surroundings is the place for all activities and with more signs, we hope to see more people this year.
Eidsfoss is also a great place to stay when visiting nearby attractions like the silver mines of Kongsberg, the Langesundfjord area or even Oslo and other well know places in southern Norway. It is also a nice place for canoeing, walks and fishery, and Eidsfoss itself is a cultural pearl with a lot of interesting history!
NAGS (Norwegian Amateur-Geological Society) in co-operation with the rock clubs in Drammen and Vestfold will provide tables inside and outside under roof.
Remember; Everyone must bring his or her own tablecloths,
lamps and cables! Also that this is not a normal rock show that you might know
from big show buildings in Europe. We wanted to create a simple show, with a
relaxed atmosphere and happy people. We feel that we have succeeded and you are
very welcome as our guest!
For those who will only attend with 1 meter table outside, it is FREE.
Only bring table and what you will need.

In Eidsfoss you will also find a pub, a small shop and

100,- a meter
1 meter ouside is free, more meter at NOK 75,-
